Frequently asked questions

Will code or HTML inside the text file be interpreted?

No. Everything is treated as plain text, so tags and code appear as characters rather than running or changing the document layout.

How are long lines and long files handled?

Line breaks and spacing are preserved, while lines that exceed the available width wrap instead of being clipped. Longer files continue automatically onto additional A4 pages.

Why do accented letters or symbols look wrong?

Text files are read as UTF-8. If characters look wrong, reopen the original file with the correct encoding in a text editor and save a UTF-8 copy. Keep that source file for editing; the scanned PDF contains page images.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

Standard and bulk scanning process source documents in your browser without sending those files to a processing server. HTML files may load linked online resources such as images or fonts while they are rendered.

Is it free, and is there a limit?

Standard scanning is free and needs no signup. Free scans have a fixed daily limit; Pro lifts it and also unlocks bulk scanning, an ad-free workspace and API access.
