Frequently asked questions
How do I save an email as an .eml file?
In Gmail open the message menu and choose “Download message”; in Outlook on the web choose “Download”; in Apple Mail or Thunderbird drag the message into a folder. Apple Mail’s .emlx files work here too. An Outlook desktop .msg file works here as well.
Are the images and attachments included?
Images embedded in the message are drawn with its text. Attached files are listed by name and size but not converted: to scan an attachment, select the attached file itself here. Remote images and tracking pixels are never fetched, so the sender is not told the message was opened.
Can I still search or copy the text afterwards?
No. Each output page is saved as an image inside an ordinary PDF, but the message text, links and addresses are not carried over. Keep the original .eml file when you still need to search or forward the message.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Standard scanning and bulk scanning both run locally in your browser, so your files never leave your device.
Is it free, and is there a limit?
Standard scanning is free and needs no signup. Free scans have a fixed daily limit; Pro lifts it and also unlocks bulk scanning, an ad-free workspace and API access.
