Frequently asked questions
Can I convert IPYNB to PDF without nbconvert or LaTeX?
Yes. Nothing needs installing, so there is no xelatex or pandoc error to fix: the notebook is laid out in your browser and never leaves your device. Supported formats: .ipynb notebooks saved in nbformat 4, which current Jupyter, VS Code and Colab write.
Will my code outputs and charts appear in the PDF?
Yes, the outputs saved in the notebook appear under In and Out prompts: tables, charts, images and text. Cells are not run, so run the notebook and save it before selecting it. Math in Markdown cells is shown as its TeX source rather than typeset.
Will the downloaded file still be an editable notebook?
The download is a PDF containing page images. Keep your .ipynb file to run and edit the code.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
Standard and bulk scanning process source documents in your browser without sending those files to a processing server. HTML files may load linked online resources such as images or fonts while they are rendered. Word, PowerPoint and Excel may download missing fonts; source documents stay on your device.
Is it free, and is there a limit?
Standard scanning is free and needs no signup. Free scans have a fixed daily limit; Pro lifts it and also unlocks bulk scanning, an ad-free workspace and API access.
