Frequently asked questions

What is an MHTML file?

MHTML, also saved with the .mht extension, packages a web page and its captured resources into one archive. It is useful when you have saved a page from a browser or another app.

Will the archived page look exactly like the live website?

The preview uses content stored in the archive and does not fetch missing resources from the original site. Anything the archive did not capture may be absent, and the page is repaginated on A4 paper.

Are scripts, links and forms kept in the PDF?

The archive is rendered as static pages without scripts or remote content. The PDF contains page images, so links, forms and text are no longer interactive or selectable.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

Standard and bulk scanning process source documents in your browser without sending those files to a processing server. HTML files may load linked online resources such as images or fonts while they are rendered.

Is it free, and is there a limit?

Standard scanning is free and needs no signup. Free scans have a fixed daily limit; Pro lifts it and also unlocks bulk scanning, an ad-free workspace and API access.
